***This requires at least version 1.19 (PS4) and 1.001 (PS5).***
Make sure your PS4 console is connected to the internet and you are signed into your PSN account.
- On your PS4 console select the save file slot you want to transfer to your PS5 console and press the R1 button to upload the save file to the game servers.
- Make sure your PS5 console is connected to the internet and you are signed in to the same PSN account.
- On PS5 console select an empty save file slot and press the R1 button to download the uploaded save file from the game servers.
PS Plus is not required to transfer your save game. This transfers the current Continue save game, not every save within the save slot. Only one save file at a time can be stored on the game servers. Uploading a save file will replace any save file you previously uploaded on the game servers. Downloading the save on the PS5 console does not remove it from the game servers. The same save file can be imported any number of times to new blank save slots. Uploading your save file does not remove it from your PS4 console, it just copies the save file to the game server. The save file transferred is the auto-save that “Continue” would play.
Please Note: This may be possible to transfer a PS4 save via the backwards compatible PS4 disc or app on PS5, but you need to make sure you reboot your PS5 after updating to version 1.001.
